Here are all the Stable Releases.

Cronos 2.2 (Froyo) 0.1

Postby Feeyo » Sat Jul 24, 2010 10:58 am

Hi,

First release of Cronos 2.2 A.K.A Froyo version 0.1.
Please note that some features from Android 2.2 will not be working or working correctly as Android 2.2 is build for a minimum kernel version: 2.6.32. So a lot of code is depending on new kernel features that we just do not have on our 2.6.29 kernel versions.

Some examples:
* HIGHMEM support for RAM >256MB
* SDIO scheduling and BT improvements
* Froyo Camera Previews.
* Camera video/sound recording.

Release notes:
* 2.2 AOSP sources with some source code took out of CM. They have some nice little features on some packages. Like the music player and so on.
* API level 8 full compile.
* All libraries, binaries, framework and packages have been compiled with full optimization flags based on the experimental ARM CPU flags.
* Kernel compiled with full experimental optimization flags for ARM.
* Adds default Search Widget.
* Updates the Android 2.2 system image to FRF91.
* Boot time improved.
* Portable hotspot.
* Multiple keyboard languages
* Performance of the browser has been enhanced using the V8 engine, which enables faster loading of JavaScript-heavy pages.
* Dalvik JIT hardcoded into DalvikVM sources.
* Dalvik Performance Boost: 2x-5x performance speedup for CPU-heavy code over Android 2.1 with Dalvik JIT.
* Kernel Memory Management Boost: Improved memory reclaim by up to 20x, which results in faster app switching and smoother performance on memory-constrained devices.
* New Media Framework (stagefright)
* Full Stagefright compiled.
* Continued support for OpenCore in Android 2.2
* Voice dialing over Bluetooth
* Ability to share contacts with other phones
* Support for Bluetooth enabled car and desk docks
* Improved compatibility matrix with car kits and headsets
* New APIs for OpenGL working with YUV image format, and ETC1 for texture compression.
* Froyo Launcher removed. (Sluggish performance)
* LauncherPro Added. Hint: Use the Froyo theme, looks exactly as the Froyo Launcher.
* Kernel overclockable to 768Mhz.
* 2.6.29-33 included.
* tweaked up_threshold setting by Andro1d
* Cronos Droid Wallpaper by Swiftwork
* OpenVPN support
* Less Battery Draining Improved.
* Live wallpapers support.
* Languages Supported:
Code: Select all

Very good (at least linpack) linpack was my highest score ever :D
Boot time seems to be longer than other froyo builds but i'm hoping it's going to be better over time :)

Yes it does a scan on all applications installed to see if any apps are in queue for optimization with zipalign. If some packages are new it will optimize it right away. This could be the boot slowing down after every new app. It should run at normal speed after rebooting without new installed apps.

Cool will see how it does over time :)
BTW I just flashed the ...-34 kernel and i'm stuck at the hero screen so I guess the kernel patches doesen't work for this build?

My phone cant find the SD-card if I have an ext-part on it. Have tried with ext2 and ext3. Without ext-part is it working.

Awesome speed by the way. Great job as usual...
